Become a Member
Many famous representatives of the international wine press are members of FIJEV. It is with great pleasure that we regularly welcome new members.
Our two languages are French (official language) and English.
The only legally version of each text is French (since the organisation is registered in France). Whenever possible, the FIJEV will translate texts and documents into English, so that non-French speaking members may understand them.
To apply, contact the General Secretariat using the link under each description of type of member.
You will have to supply some documents and, of course, an evidence of your activity as a journalist or writer specializing in the field of wine and/or spirits. Two cuurent FIJEV members must sponsor your application.
Thank you for agreeing to read the statutes which govern the FIJEV, because each member must respect them.
The decision-making body evaluates the files received several times a year. Membership as an active or associate member will then be offered to the candidate. See details of membership categories below.
The annual member fee:
- fee for one year for 2025: 60 euros.
- fee for two years for 2025 and 2026: 110 euros.
The statutes say as follows about membership:
A. Active members
They are journalists, reporters and editors (all forms of publication except subsidized promotional material or "advertorials") with one or more regular publications (appearing at least quarterly) as well as authors and writers on wines and spirits which activity is widely recognized.
Active members receive the official FIJEV press card with membership ID number and photo. Active members have the ability to vote during the assembly (general and extraordinary) and are involved in the regular activity of the association. The yearly fees for active members are determined by the Board.
